Capt. Joe will happily discuss pricing, details and availability with you for Lake Koocanusa Fishing Charters

Lake Koocanusa offers a variety of sport fish such as Kokanee Salmon, Ling and Kamloop Rainbows. Our main target species is the Kamloops, but a surprise bycatch of a big Bull is always welcome!

The lake is open for fishing year-round and typically fishes best when water temps are below 60 degrees. This means early spring – until water temperatures rise and late fall/winter after they fall again are the best times to fish Lake Koocanusa.

A heated, cabin boat makes this an enjoyable fishing experience!

Koocanusa Lake runs as deep as 370 feet and is 90 miles in length, half of which we share with Canada. Fishing Lake Koocanusa requires an all day charter and as always, a Montana fishing license is required to fish all Montana waters.

What Others Have to Say!

My husband and I chartered a half day fishing trip with captain Mike yesterday morning. We’ve done many charters over the years, and Captain Mike is one of the best! He kept us on fish throughout the morning and cleaned them right on the boat. He gave us pointers on how to read the Lowrance fish finder. We prefer to catch and release as much as possible, so we only kept a few whitefish for one meal, and released the lake trout for another angler to enjoy catching another day. Thanks Captain Mike, for the memories!…

Now I know why they have 5star Google, when met Mike at somer boat launch and headed out for a half-day fishing trip try to catch the Mac’s Fishing started out a little slow then Mike went to a secret spot and the bite was on absolutely a kick in the butt. Very nice boat from Stevens Marina, Mike our guide was fantastic real kick and a good fisherman. Would highly recommend to anybody that is in Flathead Lake area to take the time to go out and fish with Captain Mike’s charter boats….
