Flathead Fish Finders hosts guided fly fishing drift boat charters to anglers of all levels of experience from complete beginners to experts. Fishing the Flathead River in Northwestern Montana is a great fishing experience whether fishing fly gear or light tackle and is a wonderful way to experience the scenery of Flathead Valley!
On our drift boat fishing trips, our guides take care of everything (an experienced guide, all gear and soft drinks) – so you and your group can relax and focus on the fishing!
Montana’s Flathead River is a spectacular, freestone river – draining a sizeable portion of Northwest Montana. The waters of the Flathead River flow swiftly through some of the most beautiful scenery Montana has to offer.
We guide our fly fishing float trips through the upper Flathead Valley, home to Whitefish, Columbia Falls, and Kalispell. Here, the River is wide and quite deep in many sections making fly fishing from a drift boat your best bet.
Being fed by mountain lakes and snowmelt, the Flathead River is usually quite cold even well into the summer keeping our wild cutthroat trout hungry for dry flies through the warmest time of year!
Your departing location will be determined by your guide & communicated to you prior to your trip date
