The late summer bite on Flathead Lake continues to improve as whitefish numbers build throughout the lake. Large schools of bait are showing up, and everything is lining up for another strong whitefish season.
Lake trout have been right behind them, actively feeding on perch and whitefish as these bait schools move through the area. We’ve been finding the most consistent action during the morning hours, but there have still been plenty of quality feeding windows in the afternoons as well.
If you’re looking to get out before the fall bite really kicks into high gear, now is an excellent time to be on the water. We look forward to seeing you on the lake!
