The whitefish bite is heating up all across Flathead Lake, with anglers finding consistent action throughout the lake. We’re also seeing the occasional lake trout mixed in, making for some exciting days on the water.
While the trolling bite has slowed a bit, we’re still putting fish in the boat. Some impressive catches have been reported recently, including lake trout pushing the 15-pound mark and whitefish topping 6 pounds.
As we move closer to fall, the fishing should only continue to improve. If you’ve been thinking about getting out on the lake, now is a great time to book a trip and enjoy some of the best fishing of the season.
